YoYo Games is the originator of GameMaker software that allows inexperienced game developers to make games.
YoYo Games is a small, flexible company able to change with trends, product pricing and resources. It has a strong and loyal community base already established. It owns its own IP and has a management team with more than 20 years’ expertise in the games industry.
YoYo Games has more than two million downloads of GameMaker for PC since 2003 and in August 2010 the company launched GameMaker for Mac. In October 2010, it launched the YoYo Game Store publishing casual game apps on Apple’s iOS platform (iPad, iPhone).
In September 2010 YoYo Games released GameMaker:HTML5 which is the world’s first and most advanced dedicated HTML5 game development environment. In March 2012 YoYo will be launching GameMaker Studio which allows Games Developers to write once and deploy their games to Windows®, OSX®, iOS, Android, Symbian and HTML5. More platforms to follow later in 2012.
