The Masques Agency
A Scotland-based actors agency endeavouring to work with the native games industry to increase uptake of sourcing local performing talent for interactive media productions.
Masques is a new casting agency in Scotland launched in spring 2011 with a keen interest in embracing more creative industries than just stage and exhibition/broadcast screen.
With an appreciation of the strong interactive and games sector in Scotland, The Masques Agency wanted to be the first Scottish casting agency to build more awareness about exciting opportunities for performing artists here, and to let the games sector know that they don’t need to look too far to find motion and audio performing talent for their products.
It looks forward to a growing relationship with the sector and is keen to exchange cross- sector knowledge in an effort to strengthen mutual understanding of these practices.
Casting in the past few years has also seen a significant increase in demand for performing talent for viral internet advertising campaigns through innovative trailers and interactive videos and flash. Essentially, they would like to see much more uptake of this in the promotion of the incredible products being put out from Scotland, and an overall use of all its talent resources to showcase its creativity as a country.
2012 is the Year of Creative Scotland after all!
