Welcome to the February edition of ToolBUSINESS+HIRE Magazine. As we go to print we are preparing for our visit to Totally DIY/Totally Tools/Totally Secure at the NEC in Birmingham that runs from Feb 5th -7th, and the Executive Hire Show on Feb 8th and 9th at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. We hope to see as many of you as possible there. This month we have four independent Tool Reviews from
Peter Brett for you to read. These feature: - The Ultimate Slate Ripper and tile-removing tool, made in
Sheffield, from Ansell Hand Tools; The XOL Mixer – an electronic hand mixer from Collomix: A Compact Accessory Set from DEWALT; A Cordless Multi Master from Fein. Peter has also written a Company Profile on Consolidated
Industrial Supplies Ltd, from Bridgend in Wales. Our Talk shop feature is a little different this month. A few
weeks ago Channel 4 approached us asking if we could help find retailers for the next series of Mary Queen of Shops. Have a look and maybe this could be a chance for you to step into the limelight! You may have noticed that in many of our magazines over
the past year we have run adverts for CLICSargent. This is the largest charity in the UK dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer. This month, if you are brave enough, you could answer their challenge to abseil at the new Olympic Site in Westfield, East London. A great way to get an early, birds eye view of the new Olympic Park! In April my son Peter will be running the London Marathon to raise funds for this worthwhile charity. If you would like to support him he has set up a sponsorship page with his training partner, Laura at
http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/doasaveoursoles. Their target is £2,500. Last but not least we have the announcement of the winners of our Questionnaire Competition who all receive a smart
torch from NexTorch. Go to page 21 to find out who they were and see more about the information we have gathered from our readers.
