Attractions From 2013 Newquay has a brand new attraction – Classic Air

Force, based at the new Aero Hub, gives you the opportunity to get close to vintage planes, take scenic flights and enjoy the new visitor centre (see page 15). Newquay is home to Cornwall’s largest zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium, both great days out offering close to nature experiences. Still in town there’s Buccaneer Bay, the Oasis Splash Pools and Cornwall’s only Segway experience. Within a few miles of town the attractions come thick and

fast. Dairyland Farm World has indoor play areas and outside animals galore including friendly Alpacas. Let the train take the strain at Lappa Valley Railway with miniature trains, boating lakes, wildlife areas and mining history. Holywell Bay Fun Park has something for everyone including F1 Go-Karts, Merlin’s Magical Maze and panning for gold.

The Gannel Estuary In Newquay, the Gannel Estuary provides a glimpse of the towns seafaring past. You can explore the area on foot, kayak or canoe, bike or horseback! The Gannel is a tidal river and remains so today, so be careful when and where you walk. There are still traces of old boatyards, moorings

and even derelict craft. The Estuary now provides a vast recreation area and nature reserve. Take your binoculars and spot the key species of wading birds, plants and fish.

Why not kick start the fun at Cornwall ATV (all terrain vehicles) the fastest growing motorised fun sport in the UK? Discover Heartlands, a brand new free visitor attraction with
