Social Anthropology Features
• Social Anthropologywas established in 1979, and is nowa constituent department in the University’s School of Philosophical, Anthropological & Film Studies with a staff of 14.
• At any one time around 40 postgraduates are registered in the Department. • Teaching at all levels is informed by the research interests and accomplishments of lecturing staff.
• In the most recent RAE exercise the department achieved 25 per cent at 4*. • The Department and Research Centres regularly host international conferences.
