First Words T
his issue has a ‘new kids on the block’ feel with editorial features on rising companies Rapid Eyewear and Recoverice. With a double dip recession still a possibility, retailers need to look at every possible way to keep their business viable and economically solvent. New companies looking to expand may be an alternative with the added bonus of a range of value added services for retailers.
From February onwards SGB Outdoor will be looking to change course slightly with more editorial focus on the extreme sports side of the outdoor market and more of an emphasis on apparel fashion. Retailers need to keep abreast of consumer demands and with the increasing popularity of snowboarding, skiing and with the rise of new outdoor pursuits such as Free Running and Parkour, this publication needs to adapt and meet retailer and consumer demands.
Aside from this, the publication will also focus on pressing outdoor issues such as the increasing importance of recycling, global warming and economic conditions. Any feedback regarding these changes to the magazine will be most welcomed.
SGB Outdoor is delighted to welcome Andy Morfey onboard in the role of Ad Manager and for any advertising enquiries contact him on
