In 2011, we began our exclusive partnership with documentary filmmaker Ken Burns to create Ken Burns American Journeys, bringing the stories and themes of his films and books to life for Tauck guests. One result was our 5-day Tauck Civil War Event in Washington, DC, on which some 300 Tauck guests and staff experienced Ken Burns’s passion and profound insights about the Civil War during his Keynote Address. It


brought tears to our eyes – and prompted Arthur Tauck, Jr. to turn to me and say, “we’ve taken touring to a whole new level.” We’re pleased to again offer this extraordinary Tauck Event, which includes an opportunity to meet Ken Burns, in 2012.


We’re also proud to roll out the red carpet for our guests in May of 2012 on Run for the Roses: The Kentucky Derby, a five-day Tauck Event in Lexington, Kentucky, celebrating the 138th Running of the Kentucky Derby – featuring all the excitement of “Derby Day” as a Tauck VIP on the famous First Turn at Louisville’s Churchill Downs.
