Student Research Highlighted at Bennett Conference

H

eld on April 15, the Department’s annual Bennett Conference show- cased the research results of 28 MechE graduate students. Posters and presentations covered such diverse topics as biomechanics, thermal

transport, robotics, microfluidics, turbulent air flows, and propulsion. Participation in this annual event is required for M.S. Project Option students, but all MechE graduate students are invited to demonstrate their research contributions. At an evening awards ceremony, five students were recognized for outstanding achievement:

Best Presentation:

Jason Larkin, first place; Luoting Fu and Grace Heckmann, tie for second place Best Poster:

Guoming “Alex” Long and Zonghui Su, tie for first place
