Interesting FHigures Hometown Hockey Heroes
Kiersten Sturmer
(Buffalo, NY) returned to field hockey this season after tearing her ACL. She has been a starter for the Akron Varsity Field Hockey team since freshman year and is the leading scorer in the Niagara-Orleans League. Sturmer is a member of the Buffalo Hurricanes Club and will travel to Phoenix this Thanksgiving to for her second National Hockey Festival.
Alexis Collins
(Ann Arbor, MI) Huron High School Senior Lexi Collins leads on and off the field. She holds a 3.98 GPA and has played all 4 years on the Varsity squad. Lexi is a Peer Advisor and offers free lessons to younger players in Ann Arbor. Lexi has verbally committed to Cal Berkeley's Shellie Onsted in the fall of 2012.
Terri Simonetti- Frost
(Ottawa Hills, OH) was hired to coach at Thomas Worthington High School in ’99. After turning the program around and 8 years of gruelingly close performances, Thomas Worthington finally won a state title in ’07. Terri captured her second State Championship title this year. She is well-known for her booming personality and is adorned by her players, current and former.
Lauren Cornthwaite
(St. Louis, MO)is the founder and director of Aim Field Hockey. She has grown and changed the sport of in St. Louis, MI over the past decade. In 2004, Lauren introduced competitive indoor to the Midwest town. She started with a small league which has grown to over 300 athletes. She is an inspiration to everyone around her and a positive exam- ple to coaches and athletes alike.

25 Ethan Reynolds
(Moorpark, CA) has been "play- ing" field hockey since he was 1 with a plastic stick. He gradu- ated to a wooden stick at age 2 and at 2 1/2 started playing on the hockey field. Now 3 years old, Ethan warms up with the Moorpark Coyotes before every game. He has an older sister Sonya (9) and brother Noah (8) who also play for the Coyotes.
Bill Gaudette
(Hershey, Pa) is celebrating 30 years of East Coast Field Hockey (ECFH) and Summer Camps. Bill operates a year round training center that has produced over 2,000 collegiate athletes in the last three decades. In late August, Hurricane Irene destroyed Bill’s home and facility resulting in a 100% loss.
