Ohio, has ordered a new core machine in response to increased customer de- mand. Te company will add the new coldbox core capacity to its existing coldbox and shell core production. Te machine was provided by Laempe- Reich Corp., Trussville, Ala.

installed enterprise resource planning software from Guardian Software Systems, Oconomowoc, Wis.


FAW Foundry Co. Ltd., Changc-


hun, China, and Toa Koki Co. Ltd., Kyushu, Japan, have added compacted graphite iron (CGI) capability. Both companies have contracted with SinterCast, Stockholm, Sweden, to provide CGI process control.


Rising Chinese wages, higher U.S.


productivity and a weaker dollar will close the gap in pricing between U.S. and China for many goods consumed in North America within five years, according to “Made in America, Again,” a report issued by the Boston Consulting Group, Boston.


Viridis3D, Lowell, Mass., recently


expanded its research facility and launched a new website to high- light its metalcasting solutions. Te company doubled its facility size, from 2,000 to 4,000 sq. ft., by opening a new office in Charlestown, Mass. An executive from Viridis3D said the expansion will provide space for con- tinued development of the company’s 3-D sand mold printing for ferrous and nonferrous alloys.
