New managers at Hull Trains

First Hull Trains has appointed Keith Doughty as head of


operations. He was previously operations director at Chiltern Trains. Doughty said: ‘This is the first time that I have directly worked for an open access rail operator, and I am relishing the challenge.’ Meanwhile, Katie Beckett


(below) has re-joined First Hull Trains as on-board service manager. She originally joined the company as an admin temp in 2000, but left to start her own business, running a small, village-based tea room. Beckett, 40, said: ‘I had missed


the dynamic environment of working here. No two days are ever the same at the company.’

Goggin goes back to SDG Mike Goggin has left Network Rail to rejoin Steer Davies Gleave as director of international advisory.


For the last two years he has been Network Rail’s director of stations and customer service, following a stint as head of North American businesses for SDG.


Henderson to step down from Network Rail board Peter


Henderson, 57, Network Rail’s group asset management director, is to leave Network Rail next year


after 10 years with the company. He was one of the original board members of Network Rail, joining in


2002 as it acquired Railtrack. CEO David Higgins said he had


‘played an immensely important role in driving the recovery of the rail network.’


Drexler joins Amadeus Amadeus, a technology provider for the travel industry has appointed Thomas Drexler as its director of rail. He joins the company from Deutsche Bahn, where he was vice president of sales at Deutsche Bahn.


Mack Brooks names new exhibition manager Heidi


Cotsworth, 36, has been appointed exhibition manager for Mack Brooks’ two UK rail


shows, Infrarail and Railtex. She brings with her over 10 years’ experience of organising high-profile events.
