Backshells are tough and light
Battery sockets: standard or custom
Positronic has developed a new generation of aluminumbackshells for D-subminiature connectors, the A-series, which are designed to provide light and robust solutions. A large aperture and strain relief suits high density wire bundles using twisted, shielded pairs. Cable clamps can be ‘spooned’ to provide strain relief for smaller wire bundles.
Up to six grounding points (depending on backshell size) are sized and
shaped for use with 0.250in diameter ring terminals andmultiple ring terminals can be stacked under each grounding screw. The screw holes are pre-tapped for easy installation, passing through the body for internal or external grounding.
Featuring a thumb grip for easy installation and removal the
backshells also offer jackscrews and a quick disconnect locking system. Backshells can be locked to a board, panel or another backshell.
Performance levels range up to space flight specifications.
