offers a mix of studio backlot tours with shows and rides based on movie and TV blockbusters. New from spring 2012 is Transformers: The Ride 3D, featuring 4K HD effects.
Kings Dominion, in Doswell, Virginia, where themed areas such as the African-flavoured Congo are enhanced by exhilarating coasters. New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure has a boardwalk and pier-style attractions as well as thrill rides. Or try sibling parks Six Flags Great America in Illinois and Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, where there is also a SeaWorld park. Dolly Parton’s Dollywood theme park in Tennessee features family entertainment and rides. Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark has modern coasters and chocolate- themed fun.
