romantic than exchanging vows under swaying palms on a beautiful beach, which you can do at many Hawaiian resort hotels? Meanwhile, honeymooners or couples wanting a bit of togetherness can take a helicopter flight over Maui’s rainforest-covered mountains, gaze at the stars from the summits of the Big Island’s Mauna Loa or Mauna Kea volcanoes, ride horses through the surf at sunset or rent his and hers bikes to
freewheel down from the summit of Haleakala on Maui at dawn. But for sheer indulgence, enjoy a couples’ spa treatment at one of Hawaii’s luxury resorts. The islands possess some of the USA’s most
romantically-situated spa resorts, although you will find them throughout the country offering every conceivable treatment.
Magical sunsets Florida scores highly on the
romance front, too. Nowhere more so than at Lovers Key, an aptly- named state park of unspoiled beaches and secluded hideaways
overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in tropical Southwest Florida.
