AXA Commercial Lines appoints Mandy Langton as head of product


development. She joins from Jardine Lloyd Thompson UK where she was divisional managing director.


Elliot Miller QBE


QBE appoints Elliot Miller as general manager, national. He was previously general manager for Ireland, Scotland and the North of England. He has held various senior roles at QBE, including director of DA Constable Syndicate, and has also worked at General Accident, Norwich Union and ITT London & Edinburgh.


BIBA


BIBA appoints Tim Coles as chairman of its London Market Region Committee. He is currently chief executive officer of Howden Broking Group and was previously CEO of Howden Insurance Brokers. Before that, he was managing director of Howden Risk Partners and joined Howden in 2002 as director of marketing.


Ken Wright ECIC


Electrical Contractors’ Insurance Company appoints Sharon Miller as sales manager. She was previously sales manager North and joined as a business development executive.

appointed as a regional business development executive for the Midlands, Wales and South-East England. With over 20 years’ insurance experience, he joins from NIG and was previously an account executive at Zurich.


Jason Bridgman is appointed head of e- commerce and joins from Groupama where he was e- commerce manager. Ken Wright rejoins from Ignition NBS where he was regional development director, and will lead the development of the commercial broker proposition.


Tony Hulse Besso Besso Insurance Group


appoints Tony Hulse as non- executive director. An insurance specialist with over 35 years’ experience, he recently retired as a partner from KPMG and is currently a non-executive director for Flagstone Syndicate Management at Lloyd’s.


Canopius


Canopius announces two internal promotions to its marine and energy division. Joyce Webb, currently deputy divisional underwriter, is appointed divisional underwriter and has worked in the insurance industry since 1978. Philip Sandle, currently marine liability underwriter, is now deputy divisional underwriter and began his insurance career in 1993.


APC APC appoints Nicholas


Wesson as a business development manager for the North of England and Scotland. He joins from Towergate where he was a corporate broker and has previously worked for Powerplace, BIB and Smart & Cook.


Nicholas Wesson Bollington


Bollington appoints Andy Barnes as head of risk management. He has over 20 years’ risk management experience and was


previously managing director of Henderson Risk Management. He has also worked as the head of risk management for Richard Bolton Insurance and worked for Sainsbury’s for seventeen years, most recently as regional risk manager for the North.


Joyce Webb


Countrywide Broker Network and Countrywide appoints Bernard Mageean as director of insurer relations. He has previously worked for QBE as property leader and, before that, was an underwriter and client manager at RSA.
