Case Study From Online Brochures to Building the Virgin Holidays Brochure App


In 2009, Virgin Holidays started using YUDU’s digital publishing technology to create its digital holiday brochures for the web. In the first four


months, the company’s 11 online travel brochures received over 57,000 views. In addition the average the length of stay within each brochure was over 3 ½ minutes, indicating a high level of interest from prospective customers.


Virgin Holidays found that their digital brochures provided a quick and easy way of allowing customers to browse prospective holiday destinations while giving the tour operator an opportunity to reduce brochure marketing costs.


Perhaps one of the most important successes of their web brochures was the opt-in database that they were able to build, which requires prospects to enter their email address prior to online viewing, to capture the email addresses of all those who viewed a brochure and therefore creating a database of over 22,000 interested prospects in just four months.
