She is still recovering from serious injuries she sustained in a bus accident in Brazil on April 12. She is back on the volleyball court, but only time will tell if she will make a full recovery in time to earn a spot on the Olympic roster. With both Berg and backup setter Alisha Glass (Leland, Mich.), the U.S. has as deep a setting duo as any team in the world. Berg returned from a knee surgery that she had earlier in the quadrennial to turn in a terrifi c performance this summer, but Glass is more than capable, as everybody in international volleyball saw last year when she set the U.S. to a gold medal in the 2010 World Grand Prix and was the Best Setter. McCutcheon puts Berg, who was a key performer in the U.S.’s 2008 silver-medal run in Beijing, among the elite setters in the world, a group that he says includes Brazil’s Dani Lins and Japan’s Yoshie Takeshita. “Lindsey is absolutely among the best at her position,” he says. “Her talent and skill
