P26: Strike action 30 June

Taking action to defend our pensions

Thousands of teachers, their families and colleagues from ATL and UCU unions marched with the NUT across England and Wales on 30 June in protest at proposed Government cuts to their pensions. Rallies and marches were held in many cities and towns including Birmingham, Cardiff, London and Newcastle. Protestors heard speeches from union leaders and teachers on how the pension cuts affected them personally.
