HOT TIP: LaSource is one of the only resorts in the Caribbean that offers six spa treatments included in the price of a seven-night stay
Shambhala Retreat, which has been wowing spa goers for years, with views over the island’s wetlands. New spa packages make full use of Asian-based therapies from shiatsu to Ayurvedic detox programmes.
LaSource, Grenada is one of the only resorts in the Caribbean that offers six spa treatments included in the price of a seven-night stay which also includes three free dives, tai chi, yoga, fitness schedule and full board. At the refurbished Tamarind Spa at the
Tamarind Resort in Barbados, local ingredients such as Bajan sea salt and Moscovado brown sugar are incorporated into the menu of wellness treatments designed for individuals and couples. These range from the spa’s signature treatment – an Aromatic Indian Head, Neck & Shoulder Massage with warm aromatic oils – to massage therapies, body scrubs and wraps and facials.
In the British Virgin Islands, Rosewood Little Dix Bay is following the trend for total wellness
with a series of yoga and fitness retreats led by top instructors. The four-day retreats have been crafted to offer a total body experience through a carefully planned agenda of yoga or fitness classes and revitalising cuisine. At True Blue Bay on Grenada, meanwhile, yoga instructor Lisa Williams will be conducting yoga classes every Friday morning and experienced trainer, Susan La Touche, offers Tae Bo workout sessions and personal training throughout the week.
