New Orleans For Jennie McIntosh, a national vice commander-in-chief of the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) and widow of Lt. Col. RobRoy Mc- Intosh, USAF-Ret., retiring in New Orleans was a given. “It was coming home for the fishing and the music and the city,” she says. “I love the cosmopolitan atmosphere — it’s re- ally an international city.” With a population of about 1.2 million, the New Orleans metro- politan area offers a stable economy, a modest cost of living, almost a dozen four-year colleges and, says McIntosh, “real personality.” That personality is rooted in the
city’s Spanish and French heritage, distinctive architecture, and lively culture.
