JUSTICE ‘CIVILIZATION’ (ED BANGER)


The end of the world may not have occurred on May 21st, as predicted by American fundamentalist Christian Harold Camping, but French duo Justice return with a new promo for ‘Civilization’, the track first premiered as a teaser in the Adidas ad a couple of months back. The new video shows an apocalyptic scene where the earth has been reduced to rubble, and it looks like buffalo are the only creatures left on earth. It’s almost ‘2001: A Space


Odyssey’ in epicness, while the music is almost the prog rock of Rush or somebody, but given the familiar Justice electronic twist. The video is directed by Frenchman Edouard Salier, who also directed the (apocalyptic) video for Massive Attack’s ‘Splitting The Atom’ last year. Harold Camping has now revised his prediction for the Rapture to October 21st...

UNER from Spain is the latest top DJ to craft a podcast especially for DJmag, and what a fi ne one it is too. Uner fi rst came to international attention via ‘Raw Sweat’ on Solomun’s Diynamic label, a release supported by Laurent Garnier, Damian Lazarus, Luciano and loads of others. Following that, he’s turned in remixes for labels such as 2020 Vision, Cr2,


Trapez and Defected, and now he’s released a second melodic techno EP on Diynamic – the only Spaniard to be involved with the predominantly German roster. He’s got a fi ne future ahead of him, so we’re delighted to have such a cool podcast from the man so relatively early in his upward trajectory.
