CD-ROM shows laser-guided grading techniques

Ask your local Bobcat dealer for a copy of the Bobcat Precision Grading System on CD-ROM, or mark it on the enclosed WorkSaver Dialogue card. Learn how Bobcat®

equipment

— compact loader, and laser- guided grader and box blade attachments — can save you money in fl atwork preparation.

A more precise fi nal grade can be achieved with the Bobcat laser system, as much as ± 0.25 inches. You will save on the costs

Beyond buckets

While a traditional Bobcat bucket might seem like enough for many customers, there are many advantages of looking at other attachments. Take a combination bucket. It can do the work of four different attachments in one. Not sure if you can afford to buy one? Try renting fi rst. Grading is another area where buckets work, but a box blade or grader attachment will do a better job, especially if you’re a concrete contractor doing fl atwork. There’s even a laser-guided system available for precise grading and

of material when using a laser- guided system. Even experienced operators cannot be accurate to ± 0.25 inches over the entire grade. If a fl atwork contractor was off by a half-inch on a 300-by-300-foot slab, the extra 138 yards of concrete needed could easily cost more than $13,000. (The formula assumes the price per yard of concrete is $95.) The cost savings could pay for the laser control system based on this example, and over

signifi cant savings in materials.

Superior visibility Operators require good visibility to front- mounted attachments and the working area, and Bobcat attachments set the industry standard for attachment visibility. A cab-forward design in the M-Series loaders makes this even more evident.

time could pay for the compact loader, too. Laser-precise grades in one pass minimize errors, lower labor costs and build profi ts for compact equipment owners.

Carbide-tipped teeth on the planer attachment make this job look easy. The planer is well-suited for those asphalt repair jobs where larger equipment won’t fi t.
