Printed Web Offset Litho. 4 colour throughout. Bleed advertisements: No live matter ( text/logos etc) to within 10mm of the trimmed size of the ad. Failure to follow this will lead to text etc being trimmed off your ad. Please allow 3mm around the trim size for bleed images. All bleed ads must have trim marks. PDF fi les should be composite CMYK version 1.3 PDF/X1a:2001 compliant and follow The pass4press guidelines”


No transparencies or dropped shadows No layers in fi les


Fonts should be embedded and subset No jpeg2000 or jbig2 compressed image in pdf 1 bit images resolution should be higher than 550dpi


Other images resolution should be higher than 150dpi (ideally, higher than 250) Colors should be CMYK (no RGB or Pantone colours)

TYPE Matters:


No type smaller than 5 pt for single process colour.


No type smaller than 9 pt if more than single process colour.


No black type smaller than 12 pt set to knock out.


Reverse outs should be made using the minimum number of colours. Whilst every effort will be made to hold register it cannot be guaranteed on thin lines, box rules etc.


Box rules near to the trim are not recommended because of press and bindery limitations.
