Clinical Nurse Educator
Functions as a clinical expert in clinical specialties (Critical Care and Emergency), demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, selected technical skills and appropriate knowledge base both house-wide and unit specific. Assists clinical department directors in establishing educational and staff development priorities based on assessed needs both house-wide and unit specific. Develops, supports and evaluates staff education, orientation and professional development through evidence-based educational offerings, outcome measurements, competency development and educational resources.
Requires BSN and current state license as a Registered Nurse to practice in Indiana. 3 or more years of previous adult education experience preferred. Must have comprehensive knowledge of adult education principles, and health education theories and principles. Must possess excellent teaching, verbal and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and be knowl- edgeable about state and federal safety regulations for healthcare.
