Joe O’Dell and Clint Rooley joined the company to help school transportation customers


“meet the never-ending de-


mands of providing safe and efficient transportation.” Both O’Dell and Rooley are well known in the industry as former leaders at Education Logisitics. O’Dell was the vice president of consulting ser- vices at EDULOG since 2002 and has been involved in the student transportation industry going on 25 years. He oversaw EDULOG’s consulting services group for school transportation, which was started in September of 2009. Clint Rooley was most recently president of EDULOG and also previously was the director of sales for Trapeze Software Group.


Linda Bluth, president of the National


Association for Pupil Transportation, be- came the fourth professional nationwide to obtain the Special Needs Transporta- tion (SNT) Training Endorsement. Te NAPT SNT Training Program began last year to provided numerous opportunities for transportation personnel serving stu- dents with disabilities to access educational opportunities at both local and national conferences and to gain national recogni- tion for their efforts. Te core curriculum consists of 24 hours of education in a variety of different settings, including a school bus roadeo and a trade show of school trans- portation products and services. Te core curriculum is supplemented by 8 hours of elective instruction from the NAPT Profes- sional Development Series (PDS) Program.


Te syllabus for the core curriculum has been specifically designed to increase an individual’s specific knowledge about trans- porting students with disabilities.


Mark Blackford became the new na-


tional fleet manager for Grote Industries, a world leader in high-performance LED lighting and lighting harness technology for the transportation industry. Blackford has worked with Grote for nearly 20 years and has experience in product development, af- termarket sales management and national account management. He will manage all the fleet activities for both the OEM and af- termarket sales divisions and will coordinate specifications with the OEMs and drive the national aftermarket programming for the heavy-duty aftermarket division.
