Bill Lajeunesse Head Coach
First Season SUNY Brockport ’83
Bill Lajeunesse begins his first year as Siena’s head softball coach. His appointment to the position came after four years as a top assistant. Last year, Lajeunesse helped the Saints to a 14-37 season and a 7-9 record in MAAC play.
Lajeunesse has a long and successful track record at several local high schools, including Waterford, Cohoes, and Shaker.
Lajeunesse has a wide variety of experience in athletics, as he has coached soccer, wrestling, softball, and baseball. He graduated fromSUNY Brockport in 1983 with a bache- lor’s degree in physical education and received amaster’s degree in health education fromRussell Sage in 1993.
Lajeunesse’s recent accomplishments include coaching the Shaker High School softball teamto a 17-5 record and a ninth-place finish in NYS Class A. He also successfully coached the Adirondack Magic 16 and under and 18 and under teams to the National Final Four in 2005 and 2006 respectively, as well as 10 Invitational Champion- ships from 2003-2006.
