100 TRACK COMPILATION RAISES MONEY FOR JAPAN


Following the devastation caused by the tsunami and earthquakes in Japan, German distributor Word and Sound is releasing a 100 track electronic dance compilation. Entitled ‘Japanease’, it features music from DJ T, Tensnake, Wolf & Lamb, Solomun, Luna City Express and loads, loads more. All income from the compilation will go to a charity, the German Japanese Association which has partners in Sendai, providing help in some of the hardest hit areas of the country.

After forming in the late ‘90s, four piece Liverpudlian natives Ladytron emerged as scene leaders of the electroclash era and Daniel Hunt, Reuben Wu, Helen Marnie and Mira Aroyo have gone from strength to strength ever since. 2010 marked the ten year birthday of the electronic quartet and to celebrate they’re releasing ‘The Best Of 00-10’. As well as featuring classics such as ‘Seventeen’, ‘Playgirl’ and ‘Destroy Everything You Touch’ it also includes two never before heard releases.
