interview
AKSHAY SHRIVASTAVA, senior vice president and global head of business solutions and service delivery at IBS, tells Mike Bryant that business is booming for the IT service provider
How has 2011 started for you? Have you seen any particular new business of note through the first months of this year?
“2011 has started off very well for us. In cargo we have won two new customers in these two months (January and February). “We have had similar success in other areas of our
business too. Following on from the successes and large growth in 2010 we are very bullish about what 2011 will look like.”
Is that going to build on a successful 2010? How would you summarise last year?
“2011 was very exciting and fulfilling. Our business grew at a fast pace and we had a record number of successful ‘go lives’ of our solutions worldwide – an overall number of 55. These included next generation cargo management and passenger services solutions as well as solutions for crew management, fleet management, and others. We also had six successful ‘go lives’ in the first seven weeks of this year, so the trend is continuing.”
