SUBLIMATION EASIER
ANYUSER of sublimation will know that in order to transfer an image onto a product using sublimation ink, that product or surfacemust be ‘sublimation receptive’. This is not a problem when
using specialty sublimation substrates or products like polyester, foam board, fibreglass or PVC that will accept a sublimation image in their normal form. However, natural and untreated surfaces like wood, metal, ceramic, leather, stone, glass and other items pose a real challenge to the sublimation user. To accept a sublimation image, these products must be treated with a polymer coating that when
cured allows the sublimation inks to transfer onto the product. Digi Coat Clear was created
for just this challenge. Digi Coat Clear is a simple to use, clear base coating that, when sprayed on and cured in an oven, allows you to create your own range of unique printable sublimation
consumables. Each aerosol can provide coverage of approximately 2m2
. To complement the Digi Coat
Clear a white coating is also available to apply a white base to dark substrates, to enable vibrant images to be reproduced. A UV protective spray is also available to protect the product from colour fading. Further details are available
