IT’S QUITE EXTRAORDINARY THAT,


IN ITS LONG HISTORY, THE INSTITUTE HAS NEVER HELD ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN ITALY.


My thanks, therefore, to Marino Finozzi, Minister of Tourism of the Regione del


Veneto for his wonderful offer to host our 2011 Conference in Venice. If ever there was an offer we couldn’t refuse, this was it! I must also extend my gratitude to Mario Ferraro, the General Manager of the simply magnificent Molino Stucky Hilton for all the help he has given.

ITT Conference a warm welcome to the Veneto region. I am sure that this will be an important opportunity for us to let you know what this beautiful, hospitable and welcoming land has to offer. By this I mean not only the uniqueness of a city like Venice – a beautiful setting that the whole world envies – but also the entire tourism offer of Veneto. I am sure that the Veneto region, a land traditionally devoted to culture and art, will be the perfect setting which will surprise you with its great qualities and will surely remain in your hearts.
