Fabio Mantegazza was appointed Chairman of Monarch Holdings in 2006. With over thirty years experience in the travel industry Fabio has held a number of senior executive posts within the Monarch Group of companies including those of Managing Director of Cosmos Coach Tours, Managing Director of Avro plc and CEO of the Monarch Travel Group. He has an in depth knowledge of corporate and strategic restructuring, turnaround, growth and expansion, and successfully led the programme to reshape the Monarch Group’s executive management team.


Manny Fontenla-novoa GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE, THOMAS COOK GROUP


Manny Fontenla-Novoa is Group CEO of The Thomas Cook Group plc, one of the world’s leading leisure travel groups with sales of £8.9 billion and 22.5 million customers. Operating under six geographic segments in 21 countries, it is number one or number two in each its core markets. The company has a fleet of 93 aircraft and 3,400 owned or franchised travel stores. Manny’s career in travel spans 30 years and he was appointed CEO in 2007.

PETER LONG CHIEF EXECUTIVE, TUI TRAVEL PLC


Peter Long joined the Board of TUI Travel plc in June 2007 as Chief Executive. In 1996 he was appointed Group Managing Director of First Choice Holidays PLC and became Chief Executive in September 1999. TUI Travel has over 200 brands, 49,000 employees, 30 million customers and operates in over 180 countries.


Gareth was a successful domestic and international rugby player with 12 seasons at Cardiff RFC and 21 caps for Wales, captaining the Welsh national rugby team on five occasions. He also won a number of British and Irish Lions international caps. Since then he has continued his sporting interests off the field, and joined Leeds Met as Dean of Carnegie Faculty of Sport and Education in 2010.
