At first glance it looks like a pretty standard children’s car ride, but the new Daytona from the famous Italian manufacturer is also an interactive attraction, allowing young riders to steer the car left and right. As they do so, the “sweep” supporting each car extends, allowing passengers to travel around a larger circumference.
The first version of the ride, seen here, has been sold to American carnival operator Wood Entertainment and occupies a 13 x 11-metre footprint. The ride is also available for park operators and indoor facilities, in a variety of different themes and sizes.

Believed to be one of the biggest bumper cars in the business, the MaXXi is the latest addition to IE Park’s range of Soli cars. The vehicles are available either for use on a traditional dodgem track or racing cars for elevated go-kart-style circuits.
Measuring 2.24 metes in length, each car provides enough legroom for an
average-sized rider to fully outstretch their legs. Four designs are available and each car seats two riders. The first fleet of cars were supplied to the Stephansen family in Copenhagen, who operate a racing car circuit at the city’s Bakken amusement park.

BY KRAFTWERK/POLIN Kraftwerk from Austria is partnering with Polin Waterparks and Pool Systems from Turkey to offer a 4D cinema experience for waterparks. The two companies believe Splashcinema will offer operators an exciting new attraction besides waterslides, as well as a high potential revenue earner. Audiences do not need to get changed to enjoy the experience, which they can watch in their swimwear with special 3D goggles (rather than glasses). Operators will be encouraged to show water-themed films. Supplied on a “plug and play” basis, installation is easy, with just a water supply and power source required to operate. The standard installation comes with 24 seats and a 7.6 x 10- metre footprint.

S&S Worldwide has introduced the Junior Swing, a 23ft-tall powered swing for children and adults. Attractively adorned with tropical birds, the ride gives every one of its eight passengers the feeling of the wind in their face. The maximum swing arc is 70 degrees and has a maximum G-force of 2.0. It offers affordable family fun with low installation, maintenance and operating costs.
