Management of Financial Resources and Performance

To succeed in this subject it is essential to work through all aspects of the Lecture Guide and make full use of study resources such as the examiner’s tips and Questions and Answers. This requires doing the essential reading necessary to fully understand and apply the concepts and theories set out in the syllabus.


There is nothing in the examination or the assignment that is not clearly set out in the Lecture Guide and the assignment specification. Indeed, outline answers to many of the examination questions are contained in the detail of the Lecture Guide. Knowledge of this detail would go some way to helping students answer the examination questions.


The examination Practice working through past papers is fundamental. The pattern and style of the paper is now firmly established and will not change in the next few sittings. The examiners were particularly disappointed with candidates' performance on questions 1 and 3 of the June 2010 paper as these were very similar to questions on the specimen and December 2009 paper. It is obvious that candidates had not worked through previous papers.
