and get pre-tournament instructions from the tournament staff. Plus, you can check out your coupon book, which is good for great fun and savings. The earlier everyone arrives, the smoother it will be.
What to do after you bowl Once you have completed your competition for the day, your scoresheets will be waiting for you at the Information counter located adjacent to the Check-in counter in the Tournament Services area at the Open Championships and near the Registration counter at the Women’s Championships. At the completion of doubles and singles, any on-site awards you have earned will be waiting with your scoresheet.
Approximately 15-20 minutes after the last ball of the squad is thrown, brackets results will be available on the television screens in the brackets
posting area. If you are one of the thousands of bowlers to win money in brackets, you will be able to collect your winnings at the Sands Regency Casino Hotel (Open Championships) and on- site at the Oncenter (Women’s Championships).
While this completes your tournament experience for this year, the staff will be happy to answer any questions about the tournament, procedures, awards, brackets or the Storm Bowlers Journal Championships presented by USBC, which is being held alongside the Open Championships.
You may also reserve your spots for the 2012 events in Baton Rouge, La., (Open Championships) and Reno, Nev., (Women’s Championships) on-site or on
BOWL.com.
Remember, it’s never too early to start planning for next year.
Congratulations to all Eagle’s Nest members
A joint venture of USBC and the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, the USBC Eagle’s Nest was created for Open Championships team captains who fielded teams in 2010 and are registered to do so again in 2011. The response was overwhelming as more than 5,900 captains joined the club. In addition, nearly 200 captains earned Super Captain status with four or more teams.
All Eagle’s Nest members have been receiving a monthly e-newsletter featuring tournament tips, latest bowling trends and special offers from Reno sponsors, Storm, USBC Travel and the RSCVA. Captains with four or more teams are eligible for special hotel incentives from Reno hotel partners.
