ITV Studios, BBC Camera Corps “Q-Ball” HD robotic camera has proved to be one of the more unusual cameras of 2010. Originally used at the Beijing Olympics, last year it found niches in the jungle heat of ITV1’s reality series I’m A Celebrity and the summer’s 2010 season of BBC Proms in London. Incorporating a miniature Sony block camera, the H11, housed in a specially machined solid aluminium sphere, the camera captures images through its 1/3 inch CMOS sensor. Camera Corps uses the H11 because it is the smallest high quality HD camera available. See page 29 (Entry Level HD)
