Wolverine makes comfort a priority Wolverine is
launching a new system to control comfort in its shoes for spring/summer 2011.
The Individual Comfort System (iCS) is a
technology designed
to allow wearers to completely control comfort in their shoes.
iCS uses a removable wave disk in the heel, which adjusts to the amount of firmness or cushion as, when and where it is needed.
It has four settings which Wolverine said allow users to select a setting that gives them a more
comfortable, natural step. The settings are Enhance Inner Support, Increase Outer Support, Go Firm and Add Cushion.
These, it said, are suitable for anyone, whether with high arches, low arches or anything in between, and helps the wearer maintain their health and body alignment.
The adjustment is made by removing the sock liner in both shoes, selecting the same setting for both disks and replacing the sock liner. iCS is currently available in the Hatch and Salina ranges, both with an SRP of £75.

…and there’s an app to go with it
The Extreme Sports Company is pushing consumers to become more extreme by launching its own application for the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch.
The Extreme Sports App enables users to register their location, measure and log their activities and compete against other users.
The app uses a specially developed software platform. Movement, which records forces exerted upon the users, such as G-force, speed, altitude, incline and rotation. This is synchronised with location information to create a log of their precise activities. This information can then be compared against other users’ data in a particular location, country or activity.
The application costs £1.19 to download.
