There is a wide variety of brands and products at ISPO 2011, and here we showcase a selection:


Berghaus - Hall B6, Booth 217


Berghaus will be presenting its full autumn/winter 2011 range, which includes some very significant developments. This season, Berghaus has some exciting new styles that have emerged from its MtnHaus research and development innovation programme, while in Extrem and Trail Sports, Berghaus is one of the launch partners for the new Gore-Tex Active Shell fabric. Its partnership with WL Gore goes back to the 1970s when Berghaus was the first brand to introduce a Gore-Tex jacket to the European market. Active Shell is a major new development and Berghaus says it is ‘in at the start with some extremely impressive product’s. Gore-Tex developments also underpin its new core Trail range, with some outstanding new two-layer products, alongside insulated styles, from the very technical to the very stylish, including some performance lifestyle footwear. Berghaus also continued with a strong focus on women’s specific products, with a very strong range for the season.


Craghoppers - Hall B6, Stand 429 Craghoppers will be previewing its autumn/winter 2011 collection at this year’s ISPO exhibition. Featuring at the exhibition will be its new ladies Horizon Jacket, which is a streamlined, full- stretch, water-proof product


with contrast paneling. It features added spandex for active fit and durability, as well as a zip-off hood with one-handed adjustment to allow alterations to be made quickly and easily. Craghoppers’ own AquaDry water-proof, breathable fabric will ensure full protection against the elements. The Horizon Jacket is available in black pepper, platinum & pale teal and turquoise, in sizes 8-20.


Smartwool – Hall B5, Stand 118 SmartWool claims to be presenting one of its 'strongest and most exciting stories' to the trade at ISPO 2011 with a focus on the brand’s new technical layering system with emphasis on ‘The Perfect Fit’. The SmartWool Layer Up system is a complete Merino wool layering system that is designed to work together in fit, form and function. The SmartWool Layer Up System offers technical next-to-skin (NTS) baselayer and thermal midlayer baselayer (TML) pieces specifically designed to work together to be


effective in keeping wearers dry, warm, extraordinarily comfortable. Instead of looking at layers individually, SmartWool says it has taken a systematic approach in designing pieces that work independently, as well as together. With three weights in both NTS baselayer and TML baselayer as well as multiple fabric constructions and combinations, wearers are able to fully customise a layering solution. Highlights from the collection include the new NTS Microweight Intimates line, completely redesigned NTS Lightweight baselayer collection and additions to the TML Midlayer baselayer collection. Additions to the SmartWool sock range including the PHD Graduated Compression socks.


Ronhill - Hall B6, Booth 409 Ronhill is attending ISPO 2011 as part of its development into new and emerging markets. The new autumn/winter 2011 collection featuring the UK market leading hi- viz range, Vizion, which will be shown alongside a comprehensive range of complimentary cold


weather running accessories. Additionally the popular core running ranges for men and women in new seasonal colours and styles complete the collections presented. Product highlights include the award-winning water-proof soft shell Vizion Storm Jacket and innovative Vizion RipZip Jacket. A new range of Cocoon baselayers alongside a complete range of winter trail running products complete the product offering.


Hilly - Hall B6, Booth 409


Hilly will be exhibiting at the ISPO expo for the first time in conjunction with sister companies at the Bollin Group. Hilly is a leading UK brand of technical performance socks and accessories. The socks are designed by running legend Dr Ron Hill MBE, who is a former Commonwealth and European Marathon Champion, and has a PhD in Textile Chemistry. Hilly offers a


comprehensive range of socks to cater for all the needs of the runner, including its two flagship socks, the Twin Skin, double layer socks and the Mono Skin. A wide range of accessories, including reflectives, hats, gloves, neoprene carriers and hydration products will also be on show.


1000 Mile Sportswear - Hall B4, Booth 520K 1000 Mile will be exhibiting its sport and outdoor sock ranges at ISPO 2011. 1000 Mile says its sock range has been extensively expanded in recent years and it is now probably the brand leader for technical socks within the athletics market. It also ranges socks suitable for a host of other sports, such as golf, cycling and cricket.


Powertraveller - Hall A6, Booth 130B As well as the current range, Powertraveller is using ISPO to launch three new products: the powermonkey-


eXtreme. a new portable charger for 5V devices that features a battery capable of holding three times that of the powermonkey-eXplorer; the solargorilla-eXtreme, a solar panel system capable of running laptops; and the startmonkey400, a jumpstart system for 4x4s and other off-road vehicles.


Leki - Hall A3, Booth 206/Hall A4, Booth 300/Hall A4, Booth 400/500 Leki will be showcasing two new poles at ISPO. The Carbon 4 is a four-section pole which is light and sturdy. Adjustable using the Super Lock System and featuring the very popular Aergon grip, the Carbon 4 packs down to a minimum size of 55cm and comes in a handy storage bag. The Micro Stick comes in three fixed lengths. Whilst folded each section is held together with tough nylon. When unfolded and plugged together, the height is adjustable with the easy to use Speed Lock system. The Micro Stick weighs 250g at the 120cm size and packs down to 39cm.


Aku - Hall A6 Booth 100B


Aku is debuting the Spider 8.0 walking boot at ISPO, which it says is 'built only for extreme altitudes and packed with new and exciting innovations'. It also has the new Engadina Suede boot that works seamlessly between urban use and trekking use. It is available in a wide range of colours and features Vibram Predator ECOSTEP+3D microporosa midsole and an extra soft lasting board this will be both practical and comfortable.
