Take notice that a proposed Final Judgment has been filed in a civil antitrust case, United States of America v. Lucasfilm Ltd., Civil Case No. 1:10-cv-02220. On December 21, 2010, the United States filed a Complaint alleging that Lucasfilm Ltd. and Pixar entered into an agreement, in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1, in which they agreed not to actively solicit each other’s highly skilled digital animators and other employees, to notify each other when making an offer to an employee of the other company, and that the company making an offer to the other company’s employee would not counteroffer above its initial offer. The proposed Final Judgment, filed at the same time as the Complaint, requires Lucasfilm to refrain from entering into similar agreements in the future. A Competitive Impact Statement filed by the United States describes the Complaint, the proposed Final Judgment, the industry, and the remedies available to private litigants who may have been injured by the alleged violation.
