13. 2010 Alumnus of the Year Clifton Pemble (’86) (middle) and his wife, Jacqueline (Beezley ’88), are shown here with Dr. Ed Robinson. A charter employee of Garmin International, the Olathe-based navigation giant, Pemble has served in a variety of leadership capacities there such as systems engineering and software engineering management. In October 2007, he was named president and chief operating officer of Garmin, and also serves on their board of directors. In 2008, Laptop Magazine named Pemble one of the “25 most influential people in mobile technology.”
