A

lumni and friends from the U.S. and abroad came home to MNU for Homecoming 2010, October 21-24. Friday night’s Alumni & Friends Banquet delighted

the sold-out crowd of 250 who feasted on rib-eye and pork loin, fresh vegetables and sumptuous desserts. Illusionist Devin Henderson charmed the audience with his hilarious and wholesome brand of comedic illusions.

New this year were multiple events held under the Big Tent near Pioneer Football Stadium. Young alumni enjoyed a late- night concert by Samestate, and wood-fired pizza Friday night. More than 400 attended the pancake breakfast and the Pioneer Rib Cook-Off. Tailgaters and conversationalists utilized the new venue as a base for the weekend’s activities.

Not just for alumni, MNU’s Homecoming truly is an event

where everyone is welcome. Next year’s festivities will be held October 20-23, 2011. ❡

1. More than 400 people sampled tasty treats at the first-ever Pioneer Rib Cook-off. Mike Betten’s team, Bub’s Little Red Express BBQ, serves their smoked fare to an alum at the Homecoming tailgate.
