top three point earners in each division. Final points are based on each competi- tor’s top five events. Please note that this number has decreased from seven in years past. The title of Ultimate Dominator will be awarded to the one individual who amasses the most points for the year, regardless of division. The Ultimate Dominator is also determined by each competitor’s top five events. Points will be awarded for first through


sixth place. Depending upon tournament participation, seventh and eighth places may be awarded as well. All wrestlers will need to go to the Ultimate Challenge Series website to upload their own points after each event. The first event in the Ultimate Challenge Series is the SmittysFloors Fawl Brawl, held in Steubenville, OH, from November 6-7. This is a new tour- nament in the series. Registration is cur- rently open for this event, as well as the Elementary & Middle School Folkstyle National Championships and Northwest Bigfoot Battle. Included in the Ultimate Challenge

ZADICK, SCHWAB AMONG BRAND HALL OF FAME HONOREES WATERLOO, Iowa - Four former NCAA champions and a historic championship team will be inducted into the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa on April 16, 2011. The Hall of Fame is located inside the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum in Waterloo. The Class of 2011 includes Bill Zadick,


Doug Schwab, Jason Smith and Joe Scarpello.


Zadick and Schwab wrestled for the University of Iowa and both were NCAA champions. Zadick won his title at 142 pounds in 1996 and Schwab won his title at 141 pounds in 1999. Both were highly successful freestyle wrestlers as well. Zadick was a World champion at 145.5 pounds in 2006 while Schwab made the 2007 World team and the 2008 Olympic team at the same weight. Zadick currently serves as USA


Wrestling's National Freestyle Developmental Coach. Smith was a two-time NCAA champion


for Iowa State. Scarpello was a four-time All-American


and two-time NCAA champion for the University of Iowa. Steve Knipp, former head wrestling


coach at East Waterloo, will be presented with the Russ Smith Community Impact Award at the induction ceremony. The award is given to a person demon-


strating exceptional local impact on wrestling. Knipp has been a long-time leader within USA Wrestling. The 13-member selection committee includes Les Anderson, Bobby Douglas, Jim Duschen, Dan Gable, Jim Gibbons, Tim Johnson, Randy Lewis, Jim Miller, Bill Nelson, and Chuck Yagla. Members of the media include Jim Nelson, Andy Hamilton, and Mike Finn.
