“When people see my work, I'd like them to smile.
Smile when they recognize theirpet in the painting.
Smile because the painting
reminds them of a fun day at the beach with theirdog.
Smile because they
recognize the cat's ability to reign superior to all living creatures.
Smile because the pig is smiling.
I love to paint with oils that are vibrant and alive.
I love reconnecting a client to a beloved pet
that reminds them of happy moments and true devotion.
I love to paint because
painting makes me smile.” KW

A R T I S T P R O F I L E Kathryn Wronski
KATHRYN WRONSKI GREW UP IN BOSTON IN A family full of florists. From a young age, she loved working in her Dad's shop arranging and exploring with flowers. She credits her sense of color and com- position fromdesigning bouquets towedding arrange- ments. With a degree in Business, Kathryn attempted to
find a niche in the business world that satisfied her, but desks and computers didn't fulfill her need to be creative. After moving to California and raising two children, she started to take numerous art classes both at the area's college and fromlocal artists. Gradually, with her oil paintings on display at
many art festivals, her pet portraits have become familiar to many. Her paintings are created with bright pallettes and lots of whimsy capturing the animals’ personalities. "Painting dogs (and sometimes, cat, llamas, ox and
pigs) has become my subject matter of choice," says Kathryn. "Each pet is a newexperiencewith its unique expression and personality to capture on canvas. "Working in oil, I enjoy using vivid color to portray
the warmth and fun we all get from our pets," she adds. "I work fromphotographs." Kathryn recently has expanded her subjectmatter
to include local scenes painted in the same style of her portraits—colorful and fun. Towns are captured on canvas using her choice as to the colors of the buildings. She wishes towns would employ the artists to de-
termine the palette of the towns. Until then, she only dreams on canvas.
