Sodexo has highlighted its extensive commitment to the government by recruiting Kate Steadman to the posi- tion of government relations manager in a newly created role. Steadman will primarily support Kalyx, Sodexo’s pris- ons business, as well as help- ing to develop specific corpo- rate projects, supporting Tony Cooke who was recruit- ed to the role of government relations director in 2009. Most recently, Steadman was simultaneously the adviser on prisons and probation to the Shadow Prisons Minister and the Shadow Secretary of State for Justice, as well as assisting the Shadow Attorney General with policy development. She has worked at the crux of British politics and criminal justice policy for the last five years, advising and working with an array of Shadow Cabinet Ministers - now Cabinet Ministers - including three Shadow Secretaries of State for Justice, Shadow Home Secretaries prior to the cre- ation of the MOJ, as well as Junior Ministers, and other MPs and Peers from all politi- cal parties. She said: “I am delighted to join the team and hope that my insights into the heart of government will enable me to help strengthen Sodexo’s position in what is an exciting time for outsourcing companies.” Tony Cooke added: “Kate

Peter Grant Papers has con- gratulated six employees, each of whom is this year cel- ebrating 10 years with the company. Each individual has been given a £500 holiday voucher by the company as a particular thank you for their hard work over the years. Alongside these six individuals, another 16 employees are celebrating 15, 20 or 25 years with the company.

Just three months after the launch of the ionator EXP ionised-water cleaning tool in the UK and Europe, Activeion (Europe) GmbH has appointed financial and administration director Pascal Hauser and interna- tional sales executive Christian Arens. Pascal Hauser is a chartered finan- cial analyst and economist and has many years of finan- cial control and administra- tive management experience in major Swiss companies such as Groupe Mutuel, Swiss Post and Baloise Insurance. His role will be to work with general manager André Krell in developing Activeion’s growth in European, Middle East and African markets. Christian Arens has extensive sales experience in the German cleaning market and will be in charge of growing Activeion’s market share in Germany and Austria.
