The HomePlug hybrid TV set developed by devolo consists of a dLAN DVBS2 satellite TV system that ensures the distribution of the live TV signal throughout the house in full HD quality via the power line. Thus xDSL and FTTH- compatible high transfer rates of up to 200 Mbps are possible in the home.


Digital Rapids Stand: IP341


Digital Rapids is complementing its main IBC stand, 7.G41, with select demonstrations in the IPTV Zone. Spotlighting the versatility, performance, quality and efficiency of Digital Rapids’ encoding and streaming solutions


for reaching an expansive range of viewing platforms, a multi- screen encoding demonstration will feature output to devices ranging from mobile phones to tablets and game consoles. A new version of the award- winning TouchStream portable live streaming appliance will be showcased, featuring expanded support for adaptive streaming technologies including Adobe’s Dynamic Streaming, Apple HTTP streaming for the iPhone, and Microsoft IIS Smooth Streaming. EgyptSat is offering two unique solutions during IBC. PureMobilty is a self deploying satellite communication SNG antenna that


can be used anywhere when installed on a 4X4 car to uplink the TV broadcast direct to the satellite in less than one minute. During a disaster or in rural areas it uses the built in power system that is self charged from its solar cell panel that allows several hours of operation. Pure mobility can also be used to offer Internet and voice connectivity in rural areas. VideoPress is the other solution, providing an all in one H264 encoder in SD or HD quality. It can be used alongside with PureMobility to save on the satellite space segment, or can encode the video and stream it over the LAN.
