The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech seeks applications for a tenure track faculty position in metal casting and solidifica- tion. Exceptional candidates at senior ranks may be considered for an endowed professorship if they can contribute to initiatives in advanced materials and high-performance coatings. The depart- ment has 18 faculty, eight of which are jointly appointed with other departments, approximately 75 undergraduate stu- dents, and 50 graduate students.
