Bremen Castings Named State Business of the Year Finalist The Indiana Chamber of Com-


merce recently recognized Bremen Castings Inc. (BCI), Bremen, Ind., as one of six finalists for the 2009 Small Business of the Year award. The finalists, which also included Manufacturing Technology Inc., South Bend, Ind., AllAmericanDi- rect.com, Indianapolis, International Medical Group, Indianapolis, Task Force Tips, Valparaiso, Ind., and Unified Group Services Inc., Ander- son, Ind., were announced during a luncheon at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis on Nov. 10, 2009. Manufacturing Technology won the award, which is open to all Indiana companies with 250 em- ployees or fewer. To apply for the Small Business


of the Year award, BCI answered essay questions and indicated how it is committed to improving its busi- ness, community and working with its employees. The company also submitted published articles and community service projects involv- ing itself or its employees, as well as letters from employees explain- ing why their company should be
