The arts in Bell Cultural Events Center
shine
1. Rory Hughes and Cora Meyers, members of the MNU Jazz Ensemble. The ensemble gave more than 10 performances this year.

3. Taylor Bottles, as the incorrigible but lovable Harold Hill, performs “Seventy-Six Trombones,” in MNU’s presentation of The Music Man. Weekend perfor- mances sold out at Bell Cultural Events Center.
4. More than 60 students, staff and community mem- bers performed and assisted with the production of The Music Man.
5. Dr. John Leavitt conducts the MNU Choral Union in Symphony of Songs, a choral song cycle of Psalm and hymn settings, which premiered last summer in New York’s Carnegie Hall. Also on the program—the popular Gospel setting “River in Judea,” which has been performed throughout the country. Leavitt, a visiting professor at MNU, is also the composer.
