Learning with the NUT
Four-page guide to the NUT CPD programme 2010/11
“Our continuing professional development programme is designed by teachers for teachers. It informs and enhances professional judgement, and supports the work and aspirations of teachers and school leaders.” Christine Blower, NUT general secretary
Since 2000, more than 20,000 teachers from schools across England and Wales have enjoyed high quality continuing professional development opportunities organised by the NUT.
Our emphasis is on CPD that has a positive impact on teaching and learning in classrooms and schools, provided at low cost (and sometimes free to NUT members). It is teachers and their colleagues and pupils who profi t from the NUT CPD programme.
NUT CPD highlights during 2010/11 include:
• high quality professional learning open to all teachers (NUT members and others) in England and Wales
• behaviour management CPD for teachers at all career stages
• affordable courses and conferences that school leaders can recommend with confidence to support performance management, succession planning and improving teaching and learning.
