Alrad Imaging has added the mvBlueFox-MLC module from Matrix Vision to its product portfolio. The compact single- board camera is ideal for space- and cost-sensitive OEM applications.

A high image quality and frame rate makes the camera ideally suited for embedded applications. The driver in combination with the FPGA reduces the PC load to a minimum. The module has the same

features as the standard mvBlueFOX-2xx (with housing) on one single-board. Up until now, the mvBlueFox-MLC has only been available with the WideVGA CMOS from Aptina (90fps), however, other

Multipix Imaging has launched four new models to the successful Bobcat series from Imperx. These compact, 45 x 45 x 39mm, feature-rich Camera Link cameras are designed to address the needs of a wide range of industrial and machine vision applications.

The Bobcat series expands to include Kodak sensors giving 1,600 x 1,200 pixels at 43fps, 1,920 x 1,080 at 41fps, 4,000 x 2,672 at 6.5fps and 4,892 x 3,248 at 42fps. The cameras feature a wide temperature range, low power, low noise, horizontal and vertical binning at 2x, 3x and 4x, multiple programmable areas of interest, and fully programmable 12-bit look-up tables.

Also available from Multipix Imaging is Stockeryale’s Cobra Slim line scan illumination, a chip-on-board reflective array. This technology provides high brightness illumination ideal for line scan and web inspection and offers all of the advantages of LEDs,

including long lifetime, controllability and increased reliability. Stockeryale’s Lotus LED lighting also provides an alternative solution to fluorescent illumination used in a wide variety of machine vision applications. Lotus utilises the latest LED technology combined with an integrated optical system to produce high performance line lights. The flexible design makes the lights compatible with both back-lighting and front-lighting web applications, providing a broad and uniform beam, which is consistent across webs as wide as five metres. www.multipix.com

Like an alligator in a swamp, the Matrox GatorEye is right at home in the harshest environments. This industrial camera features:

• IP67-ra ted housing • 12-24V power • Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capable • VGA to 2 Mpixel monochrome/color CCD sensors • opto-coupled trigger, strobe and 8 GPIOs connectivity • controlled current source for powering LED illuminators directly

sensors can be added. Other features include: 10-bit ADC, 8-megabyte memory, high dynamic range mode (110dB), and AOI with horizontal and vertical step width of two pixels. Without the lens, the module measures 35 x 33 x 25mm, and weighs 10g. There are several assembly variants offered: mini-B USB connector and digital I/O pin header, USB via header without mini-B USB connector, female board connector instead of pin header (for direct board- to-board connection). There are three different S-mount depths offered as well as C(S)- mount compatibility using the mvBlueCougar-X flange. www.alrad.co.uk
