Welcome to our new interactive magazine. Its aims are two-fold: it will help keep our network of GlobalScots around the world up to date with the latest events and allow us to introduce the work of GlobalScot to the wider business community. GlobalScot can now look back on 10 years
of growth and achievement as we anticipate a new era of progress ahead. Irene Johnstone, Director of International Networks, reports: “Over the last three months we have consulted extensively with the GlobalScot network and made a number of significant changes. “As a result we now have a network that is
truly fit for purpose. We have reduced the size of the GlobalScot network and will focus our effort on those members that have expressed a wish to remain active and engaged in identifying opportunities for Scotland. “Greater effort will be placed on identifying
companies in Scotland who have international ambitions and connecting them with our GlobalScot network and we pledge to ask more of our GlobalScots in the belief that a closer working relationship will reap rewards.” Establishing better, clearer communication
between GlobalScot, its network of members and Scotland’s most forward-thinking companies is part of the way forward, she added. “This new digital magazine will play a keen
role in that aim. By harnessing the emerging digital communication technology, we aim to present our news, our progress and our success stories in a vibrant, relevant style – and we would be interested in feedback from you on the magazine’s content and relevance. “Everyone who has helped us to reach this point in GlobalScot has every reason to be proud of the part they have played. “Now let us all move forward into a new era
of co-operation even more focused on the challenges ahead.”
